Crowing News LLC is an independent digital news publication based in the United States. When we say “we,” “us,” or “our,” we mean Crowing News and the small team that runs it.
What We Collect
Information you give us directly
When you contact us, submit a tip, sign up for our newsletter, or fill out any form on our site, you’re giving us information voluntarily. This typically includes your name, email address, and whatever you choose to write to us. We only use this to respond to you or, if you’ve signed up for our newsletter, to send you news updates. That’s it.
Information collected automatically
Like virtually every website on the internet, we collect certain technical data automatically when you visit. This includes your IP address, browser type, the device you’re using, which pages you visited, how long you stayed, and where you came from. We use this to understand how our site is being used and to make it better. We do not use this data to build a profile on you personally.
Cookies
We use cookies. Some of them are essential — without them the site simply doesn’t work properly. Others are analytical, helping us understand traffic patterns in aggregate. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites or serve you targeted advertising based on your browsing history outside of Crowing News.

We do not send you unsolicited marketing emails. If you signed up for our newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time with a single click — no hoops, no dark patterns.
When We Do Share Data
There are a small number of situations where we may share information with others:
Service providers. We work with third-party services to operate our website — hosting providers, email delivery platforms, analytics tools. These companies only access your data to perform services on our behalf and are contractually prohibited from using it for anything else.
Legal obligations. If we are required by law to disclose information — through a valid court order or legal process — we will comply. Where legally permitted, we will notify you before doing so.
Protection of rights. If we genuinely believe it’s necessary to prevent fraud, illegal activity, or harm to someone’s safety, we may share relevant information with appropriate authorities.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address and use it to send you news updates. We use a third-party email platform to deliver these. You can unsubscribe at any time — every email we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom.
We don’t share newsletter subscriber lists with anyone.
Data Retention
We keep your data only for as long as we need it. Contact form submissions are typically retained for up to 12 months. Newsletter subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized on a rolling basis.
If you’d like us to delete your data, just ask.
Your Rights
You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to request a copy of it, to ask us to correct it, and to ask us to delete it. You also have the right to opt out of any communications from us at any time.
Children’s Privacy
Crowing News is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If any changes are significant, we’ll make a reasonable effort to notify newsletter subscribers directly.
